Goolwa prepares for the Assembly
In an exercise known as ‘Yarn Bombing’ Goolwa residents created scarves and other fabrics which were then used to decorate trees and posts in the main street. As well,Jeanette Coombes and the patchwork and quilters group from Pt Elliot along with some Cittaslow members created 150 beautiful patchwork pot holders for delegates of the Cittaslow International Assembly. Jeanette single handedly sewed the snail from the Cittaslow logo onto each one. An amazing accomplishment! In addition to photos of this activity, this item includes photos of Goolwa attractions with others showing a few delegates and their hosts enjoying the beach at Goolwa.
