Interest Group Red.JPGAt the Wharf

At the Wharf is a free  event facilitated by the Food and Wine Group of Cittaslow and supported by the Alexandrina Council. The aim of these gatherings is to enhance community engagement, maximise the use of the Signal Point precinct and promote Cittaslow values.

At the Wharf  events are held on the last Friday evening of each month, from October to March, from 5-8pm and also on the Sunday afternoons of the long weekends in October and March, from 1-5pm. All gatherings are held Covid-regulation permitting and subject to weather conditions.

Proposed dates for 2022:

  • Friday, 11 March (5-8pm)
  • Fridays 28 Jan, 25 Feb (5-8pm)

Cittaslow invites a local band to play on the deck of Signal Point and the event includes delicious varieties of food from local food vendors and our own Food and Wine Group.

A bar is supported by Food and Wine volunteers and showcases wine, beer and soft drinks from local wineries at very reasonable prices.

We encourage you to bring chairs, rugs, picnics and your own glasses if you wish ( At the Wharf does rent glasses on the night) and dancing shoes. However BYO alcohol is not permitted, in order to comply with our licence arrangements.

“ … towns where people are curious about times past, towns rich in theatre, cafes, workshops, restaurants and spiritual places, towns with untouched landscapes and fascinating craftsmen, where people are still aware of the slow passing of the seasons, marked by genuine products, respecting tastes, health and spontaneous customs.”
