At the Wharf
At the Wharf is a free event facilitated by the Food and Wine Group of Cittaslow and supported by the Alexandrina Council. The aim of these gatherings is to enhance community engagement, activate public spaces like the Signal Point precinct and promote Cittaslow values.
At the Wharf events are generally held on the last Friday evening of each month, from October to February, between 5-8pm and also on the Sunday afternoons of the long weekends in October and March, from 2-5pm. All gatherings are held Covid-regulation permitting and subject to weather conditions.
Please note: There will be disruption to the program at the usual site at Signal Point while upgrade works are happening. During this time At the Wharf will be relocated to new sites. Keep up to date with these changes on Facebook at Cittaslow Goolwa.
The season opens on Sunday 2 October from 2-5pm at the Arthur Neighbour Reserve, corner of Porter and Dawon Streets behind Hotel Goolwa, just a short walk from Cadell Street or from Jaralde Park markets where you will find food options. On 2 October there will be no food vans on the reserve so please bring your own snacks or meals.
Proposed evening dates for the season of 2022-2023 from 5-8pm:
- Friday, 28 October, 2022
- Friday, 25 November 2022
- Friday, 30 December 2022
- Friday, 27 January 2023
- Friday, 24 February 2023
On all these evening dates, Cittaslow invites a local band to play on site and provides a delicious variety of food from local food vendors and our own Food and Wine Group.
A bar is supported by Food and Wine volunteers and showcases wine, beer and soft drinks from local wineries at very reasonable prices.
We encourage you to bring chairs, rugs, picnics and your own glasses if you wish (At the Wharf does rent glasses on the night) and dancing shoes. However BYO alcohol is not permitted, in order to comply with our licence arrangements.
