South Australia named the fifth best region to visit in Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2017.

Last week South Australia was named the fifth best region to visit in Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2017.

This prestigious travel accolade is expected to generate significant publicity for our state both nationally and internationally which ultimately puts us on the consideration list for visitors. When visitors come to our state they spend money, which benefits our growing $5.9 billion visitor economy.

Chris Zeiher from Lonely Planet said: “You don’t actually have to go any further than South Australia to have a full Australian experience,” which is a glowing endorsement for our tourism operators and businesses who power our visitor economy.
